The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit word that means yoke or union. Yoga
joins the mind, body, and spirit. Yoga is commonly known as an over
5,000-year-old exercise, originated in India.

Hatha yoga is the most popular form of yoga practiced here in the States. "Ha"
means sun, and "tha" means moon. Hatha yoga brings balance through the
integration of opposites. It is practiced with movements of body and breath
control. The practice of physical postures (asanas) cultivates body awareness,
strength, and flexibility. It brings a sense of calmness and balance.
Your well-being is our focus. Yoga is a versatile exercise. We believe that
yoga is for everybody. You do not need to fit into yoga. Yoga can be adjusted
to your needs. The practice will be performed with an emphasis on body
alignment and breath control. Yoga practice can provide the following benefits:
Build strength and coordination
Increase flexibility
Develop focus and concentration
Learn to listen to your body
Enjoy a feeling of tranquility and balance
Promote healthy-being and feeling good about yourself
Our asanas are taught with emphasis on alignment, including flow exercises
(vinyasas). Our group classes are best for beginners to intermediate-level
exercisers. Private lessons available by appointment. Please bring a yoga mat
if you have one.
