Microsoft .NET Framework
We are not able to verify the installation of Microsoft's .NET Framework on your computer. Please follow the instructions to check manually.
What is it?
Microsoft’s .NET Framework is a component update to your Windows operating
system, adding support for the next generation of software applications. This
update allows .NET developed applications to run in a faster, more secure
environment. The availability of Internet integration is increased as is
overall stability. This update will be foundation component of Microsoft’s new
operating systems.
Do I have it?
To manually check to see if you already have the .NET Framework 1.1 installed,
click Start on your Windows desktop. Find and select Control Panel. Then
double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon. When that window appears, scroll
through the list of installed applications. If you see Microsoft .NET Framework
1.1 listed, the required version is already installed and you do not need to
install it.
How do I get it?
The best way to install Microsoft's .NET Framework is to use
Windows Update and look for the Microsoft .NET Framework update
package. Although the Windows Update method is highly recommended, if you need
to manually install Microsoft's .NET Framework, click here. If you are using a dial-up connection to
the Internet, be advised that this is about a 20 megabyte download, which can
take an hour or more on a phone-line connection.
